The estate PRINZ VON HESSEN in Johannisberg in the Rheingau is one of the leading Riesling producers of Germany and is a member of the regional Association of German Predicate Wine Estates' (VDP) Rheingau . The RIESLING wines of the estate PRINZ VON HESSEN mature in the Rheingau's top vineyards of Johannisberger Klaus, Winkeler Hasensprung, Winkeler Jesuitengarten, and Kiedricher Sandgrub. Over 85 percent of the estate's sites grow Riesling grapes. The guarantors for the excellent wine quality of the estate PRINZ VON HESSEN are humus, mineral-rich soil, and sunbathed slopes; ultimate care, selective vintage, and state of the art processing methods as well as highly motivated employees, wine-growers, and cellarers.

The red and white striped lion from the family coat of arms of the Princes and Landgraves of Hessen stands for a trademark of the estate PRINZ VON HESSEN. For 60 years now this emblem is also the coat of arms of the German State of Hessen as part of the German Federative Republic.
